Three steps, then stop

A face routine does not need ten products. Cleanse, tone, moisturise. Everything else on this page is an addition to that, not a replacement for it.

If you are starting from nothing, pick one cleanser, one moisturiser and the toner. That is a complete routine and it costs less than most single serums.

Cleansers: cream, not foam

Foaming cleansers strip skin, which is why your face feels tight afterwards. Both of ours are cream based. The Gentle Face Cream Cleanser from $19.95 is built on organic grapeseed, sesame, almond and apricot oils with aloe vera and an essential oil blend of chamomile, grapefruit, lavender and lemon.

The Sandalwood Cream Cleanser from $19.95 is the same idea with sandalwood essential oil instead. It is the one most men in the house end up using.

The Cleansing Facial Scrub at $49.95 adds coconut shell powder as the exfoliant. Once or twice a week is plenty.

Toner is not an optional extra

The Active Toner from $25.95 is a hydrosol base: witch hazel, rose and Roman chamomile, with organic rosehip oil, cucumber oil and colloidal silver. It goes on after cleansing while skin is still damp. Whatever you apply next then spreads further.

Moisturisers, light through to rich

Hydrating Face Moisturiser from $23.95 is the everyday one, organic grapeseed, safflower and avocado oils with shea butter and aloe. Daily Face Nourishment from $28.95 steps up to organic apricot and sesame with rosehip oil and Co Enzyme Q10.

Intensive Face Nourishment from $29.95 is the richest, made for skin that cops wind, sun and cold mornings. It carries a citrus essential oil blend, zinc oxide, glucosamine sulphate and carrot seed oil.

What separates the oils

Organic Perfecta Oil from $27.95 is five oils and nothing else: organic jojoba, rosehip, sacha inchi, marula and cacay. Hydrating Face Oil from $25.95 is three: organic hemp seed, evening primrose and cucumber.

The Organic Hemp Seed Oil at $32.95 is a single ingredient. Organic cannabis sativa seed oil. That is the whole label.

Treatments

The Deep C Face & Eye Serum from $49.95 is built on L-ascorbic acid with pea protein peptides. The Deep Purifying Clay Face Mask at $54.95 uses Australian green clay with deep sea mineral mud.

Allergens, said plainly

Organic almond oil is in the Gentle Face Cream Cleanser, the Intensive Face Nourishment and the Deep Purifying Clay Face Mask. Almond is a tree nut. The clay mask also contains honey extract, so it is not vegan.
