What goes on your body and when

Body skin is thicker than face skin and it gets a fraction of the attention. It also covers most of you. The range here splits into three jobs: wash, moisturise and recover from something.

Wash first

The Natural Hand & Body Wash at $32.95 for 500ml is a genuine soap, saponified from organic potassium oleate and potassium cocoate rather than built from detergents. Organic grapefruit and lemon essential oils are the only fragrance.

Lotions and hand cream

Rose Geranium Body Lotion at $39.95 and the Rose Geranium Hand Cream at $31.95 share the same essential oil blend: organic lavender, rose geranium, bergamot, clary sage, chamomile and jasmine absolute. The hand cream is simply the thicker of the two.

Wellness Active Body Lotion at $39.95 goes the other direction with organic lemongrass, grapefruit, ylang ylang and bergamot. Brighter. Better in the morning.

Three body oils that are not interchangeable

Organic Muscle Relief Oil at $34.95 is the strong one: menthol, organic peppermint, tea tree, eucalyptus, cajeput and camphor, with capsicum oil. You will feel it going on. That is the point.

Recovery Body Oil at $34.95 is quieter, organic jojoba and argan carrying rosemary, lemongrass, juniper berry and black pepper. Nourishing Body Oil at $34.95 is the softest of the three, organic safflower, argan and rosehip with cacay oil, tangerine and frankincense.

Short version: muscle for after sport, recovery for after a long week, nourishing for dry skin.

The bath

A kilo of Magnesium Bath Salts from $22.95, in four blends. Calming is lavender, frankincense and ylang ylang. Soothing brings peppermint, rosemary and juniper berry. Uplifting is rosemary, bergamot and basil. Pure Magnesium is magnesium sulphate with nothing added.

One product here is not vegan

The Organic Chafe Relief Cream from $29.95 contains natural lanolin, organic Ligurian beeswax and propolis. It is a barrier cream, thickened with candelilla wax so it stays where you put it. Those animal derived ingredients are why it works.

The rest of the body range is plant based.
